Most problems are one of the four below. Docognito is built and maintained by one person, and reports do get read.
Reporting a problem. Use the Support tab on the Chrome Web Store listing. Say which site you were on (ChatGPT or Claude) and what you expected to happen. If something looked wrong on screen, a screenshot saves a round trip.
Content scripts only load when a page loads, so an already-open tab won't have it yet. Reload the ChatGPT or Claude tab (Cmd+Shift+R / Ctrl+Shift+R), or close it and open a new one.
Shift+Esc toggles it in both directions. The same key hides it and brings it back. There's also an On/Off switch in the extension popup.
Reload the page first, because this is almost always a stale tab. If it persists, report the site you were on and roughly when it happened. Both sites change their page structure regularly, and that's the kind of report that gets fixed quickly.
Long conversations load in pieces as you scroll, and the extension pulls the rest in automatically, so give it a couple of seconds after opening. If a chunk is still missing, reload the conversation.
If you're comfortable with it, this makes a report much faster to act on:
That identifies which version you're on, which is usually half the answer. Docognito never logs what you type. See the privacy policy.
Genuinely welcome, especially "it broke on this specific page". Other AI sites, other document styles, and other browsers are all on the list.
